Our Project - Transfer of Innovation

 The SIMPEL Project

NetKnowing 2.0 is based on the transfer of the results of SIMPEL - IMPROVING eLEARNING PRACTICES IN SMEs project (2006-2008), that developed and validated sustainable models of e-learning in SMEs.

SIMPEL was supported by the EU e-Learning Program.

Sustainable models of e-learning in SMEs

On the basis of analyses and valorisation of existing successful projects in the European Union SIMPEL developed guidelines and puts forward examples of innovative best practice, in order to help improve the training situation in those companies, which form the backbone of the European economy, especially in terms of job creation.

The strategy has been done in cooperation between SIMPEL partners and consultants for SMEs, discussed, and improved so that it could be adapted to specific national requirements. Interesting discussions during seminars with SMEs contributed to the development of some eLearning models within this strategy.

In the project Net Knowing 2.0 the strategy and the models may be reused and but have to be discussed with SMEs in all partner countries in order to be improved taking into consideration of the actual economic and financial situation, new profiles of working places, etc and by the transfer of this product the Net Knowing.

The SIMPEL Community of Practice

A SIMPEL Community of Practice (CoP) with eLearning experts and practitioners supported by the commonly used VLE Moodle was established in order to cooperate in improving the use of eLearning in SMEs. The activities of the SIMPEL CoP to improve life-long-learning in SMEs and other organisations by using eLearning was successful.
